1. Does it need a pit?
Why it matters: A pit is building work, priced separately, and it stays with the building.

3. What is the load rating?
Why it matters: Large electric SUVs often weigh close to three tonnes, some more.

4. How is it driven and controlled?
Why it matters: Your staff will use it every day, so it should be simple to run and to stop.
YilPlat: Four 24 V motors, an LCD wall panel with an emergency stop and two Bluetooth remotes with an 8 m range.
5. What happens in a power cut?
Why it matters: A car stuck mid-turn blocks your display.
YilPlat: Loosen the motor stops and it turns by hand.
6. What is it made of, and how is it put together?
Why it matters: Steel that rusts, or a deck welded in one piece, can mean replacing the whole turntable.
YilPlat: About a tonne of galvanised steel, bolted together from numbered parts.
7. Can parts be replaced one at a time?
Why it matters: Wheels and motors wear; you want to swap a part, not the turntable.

8. Who installs it, how long does it take, and is it included?
Why it matters: Installation can add days of work and a separate invoice.

What is the best car turntable for a showroom?
One that fits your space, carries your heaviest car with room to spare, needs no building work and can be repaired a part at a time. For most UK showrooms that means a motorised, surface-mounted turntable around 4.3 m across, with remote control and a clear spares policy.
Motorised or manual: which car turntable should a dealer buy?
Motorised. A salesperson can turn the car from beside the customer with a remote, at a steady speed, as often as needed. Manual turntables suit occasional use, such as a private garage.
