How does a car turntable work? At YılPlat the answer has three parts: a bearing hub, eleven panels locked onto it and four motors turning the ring. Below: how a vehicle turntable carries 5,000 kg and installs in 2.5 hours.
The ring: centre hub and eight arms
A tapered-bearing hub sits at the centre. Eight radial arms run out from it and join the inner and outer arc plates to form the load-bearing ring — fully galvanised steel, with no pit, no anchors, no welding.
Eleven panels, 66 wheels: car turntable weight capacity
Eleven triangular panels lock onto the ring, each on six wheels: 66 wheels share the 5,000 kg load across the whole circle, not one welded body.

Drive and control: motors, LCD panel, remotes
Four drive stations set in a cross, each with a 24 V motor, turn the ring together. Speed and direction are set on the 220 V LCD panel with its emergency stop; two Bluetooth remotes (8 m range) are included. If the power goes, it turns by hand.
Why a vehicle turntable installs in 2.5 hours
Nothing is welded on site: hub, arms, panels, ramps and drive stations bolt together. Your own two people finish in about 2.5 hours with a hex key, screwdriver and 13 mm spanner, guided by the illustrated manual and YılPlat video-call support — see the turntable installation guide. The standard YılPlat carries 5,000 kg across 66 wheels; heavier vehicles and diameters up to 8 m come under the Atelier package.
Does the turntable lock if the power fails?
No. In a power cut the platform turns by hand; the car is not stranded.
